The West Point Society of Baltimore sponsored a Military & Spouse Job Fair & Networking event for all military services and their spouses on September 17, 2024, at Martin’s Crosswinds in Greenbelt, MD. Twelve employers, from as far away as Colorado, and representing government, government contractors, educational institutions, and other private-sector organizations, interviewed job seekers from around Maryland. This was a free, in-person event for transitioning veterans and their families to connect with leading employers actively seeking the unique skills and experience of military personnel and their families. They completed one-on-one discussions with recruiters and hiring managers, received information on a wide variety of job opportunities, were offered resume and cover letter-writing workshops, and networked with other professionals.
“This job fair provided an important opportunity for military personnel and their families to enhance their skills and experience as they transition,” said Michael R. Nelson, COL (Ret.), President of the West Point Society of Baltimore. “We at the society thank these employers for meeting with these veterans and their families as they seek to transition to civilian life.”
